A CILAO revolution

Weight distribution on each strand for greater comfort and freedom of movement. As you move, the space between the strands narrows and they can overlap as you move.

You can also secure your ice axe by sliding it between the two strands behind your shoulder, so you don't lose it when you take off your pack.
